N.001 Biomorphic Floor Lamp
N.001 Floor Lamp from the Biomorphic Series by Studio Chora is inspired by the nature of human experience. This is a second-generation light sculpture that is hand crafted from a composite plaster-based stone. The stone composite is more durable than previous iterations and has a smooth, lightly water resistant finish. The high-quality compressed stone finish is burnished to a smooth, cold-to-the touch, and tactile matte surface. Recommended for indoor use only.
Studio Chora shifts from the stability of an anthropomorphic projection towards a figural distortion of the human body. The work constructs a world through a lived and presumed opacity to human experience—one not conforming to an idealized norm, but forming a body in terms of what it can become.

Description:
Organic shape, handmade floor lamp. On/off foot switch, 10' clear cord. Matte with a slight sheen, white stone finish. Medium ceramic socket, LED 40W bulb in soft white (included).
Care instructions: Studio Chora's stone composite products are compressed and burnished to a natural white finish. The finish may be cleaned with a wet rag or mild cleaning product. A bee’s wax will maintain the tactile surface texture and bring out natural color variation in the plaster. Please note, if any appear, micro hairline fissures are not damage. They are superficial resulting from temperature changes during the setting phases. The water resistant finish is not affected and a light coat of bee’s wax will fill the hairline fissures—if not embraced as part of the wabi-sabi aesthetic and philosophy.
