FOR THE TRADE

Studio Chora works closely with design professionals, architects, and developers. We are happy to offer CAD drawings and cut sheets for any of our products, including custom. Trade clients receive access to a year-round discount, personalized quotes, customization options, and dedicated support from quote through delivery & installation.

APPLY

Submit your trade application along with a resale certificate or business license. Approval typically takes 24–48 hours.

SALE TAX EXEMPTION

Purchases for resale are tax-exempt with a valid resale certificate.

SHIPPING

Studio Chora light fixtures and other items are hand-made, fragile objects. Most require a custom wooden crate to protect from damage during transport.

The amount billed for crating and shipping reflects the cost of labor and materials for building the crate, preparing the piece for shipping, and carrier fees.

Crating and shipping charges for most orders are applied at checkout. 
Some items will require a price quote.

TABLE LAMPS and most FLOOR LAMPS are shipped fully assembled. The crate is closed with phillips-head screws, and a power screwdriver will be required to open. Once opened, the lamp can be carefully removed from the crate.

CUSTOM and CHANDELIERS are shipped with assembly required. All component parts are labeled as needed, and any additional assembly instructions can be communicated through shop@studiochora.com. The assembly and installation must be performed by qualified personnel, such as a licensed electrician, lamp specialist, or handyperson.

Some larger pieces will ship in multiple crates.

MIRRORS and LARGER CHANDELIERS may be shipped via motor freight, as they exceed the size and weight limitations of common-carrier-sized parcels.

PLEASE NOTE:

The rates billed at checkout cover shipping to destinations within North America. EU, UK, and other destinations will require a price quote, available by request.

It is important to unpack received shipments promptly. In the rare event that a shipment arrives with damage due to mishandling, we can offer quick and convenient solutions. Please contact the studio for details.

All shipments are fully insured. If a damage claim is required, we must receive notification within 3 days of receipt. Photos of the packaging and damaged items will be required to process a claim. We cannot provide coverage outside of these requirements.

PICKUPS

Can I pick up instead of having it shipped? Yes, please email shop@studiochora.com to schedule a time to pickup at our New Mexico studio located in Harwood Art Center.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Studio Chora's plaster products are lightly sealed--meaning they retain a chalk-like, natural finish. Oils, polishes, harsh chemicals will hurt this surface. Light dusting is all that is needed to keep the surface clean.

RETURNS / CANCELLATIONS

  • A restocking fee of 15% of the item price applies.

  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges and will not be reimbursed for the original shipping cost.

Items may be returned or exchanged up to 3 days after the initial receipt for a full refund, less initial shipping costs. Buyer must pay return shipping fees. *Custom orders are FINAL SALE and not eligible for return.

Can I return my order once it has arrived?

Products may be returned up to 3 days after the initial receipt for a full refund, less initial shipping costs. Contact shop@studiochora.com to initiate the returns process within 3 days. Please note that all products are handmade. Review product photos carefully or contact directly at shop@studiochora.com to inquire about specific concerns. Buyer must pay return shipping fees, please retain and ship back using the original box and shipping material.

What if damage occurs during shipment? Please inspect all shipments upon arrival. Do not sign for deliveries that appear damaged. If damage is discovered, it must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. All original packaging must be retained. Reach out directly––Studio Chora will ask for photos of the damaged item as well as photos of the box it was shipped in . The photographs are necessary to initiate an insurance claim and determine next steps.

PRODUCTS

Every effort has been made to portray items accurately. Due to the nature of hand-made, one-of-a-kind, custom, and made-to-order items, slight variations will occur. All quoted measurements are approximate, and the reproduction of colors and finishes are as accurate as photographic and publishing methods allow.

Is this item available? How many do you have? If a product says "sold out," it is no longer available. All quantities can be found on our website by "adding to cart”. Some of the collections and series are limited-edition, signed and numbered, and stock will not be replenished.

In no even shall Studio Chora’s Liability exceed the total amount paid to Studio Chora for goods and services under this agreement. Studio Chora only use UL Listed lighting component parts, and all our lighting fixtures can be UL Listed for an additional fee.
